This week we have started our new seaside topic. On Tuesday we visited the beach (just outside the classroom) and had a walk along the sand and a paddle in the water. When we came back we read a poem by John Foster all about sand. Sand in fingernails, Sand between your toes, Sand in your earholes, Sand in your nose…. Children then performed this poem with some great actions. Later on we then made a picnic to take to the beach and made a bar graph to show our favourite sandwich fillings (jam was the most popular).
